Canada’s Government Continues to Persecute "Child Soldier" Omar Khadr

Today just 25 years old, the Canadian-born Khadr has long been the only citizen of a Western country still detained at Guantanamo Bay. Now Canada’s Conservative government is delaying implementing a plea-bargain agreement under which Ottawa agreed that Khadr would be allowed to return to Canada after serving the first year of an eight-year sentence he received from a U.S. military commission.
