POPCORN BALLS - K. Anderberg's "Health is Wealth Cookbook"
These are great for Christmas. Stick a loop of colored ribbon into the center of the popcorn balls before letting them cool. Once cool, wrap them in colored Saran Wrap up to the ribbon loop.
2 quarts freshly popped popcorn * 1 c sugar * 1/3 c light corn syrup * 1 c water * ¼ t salt 1 t flavoring (such as vanilla or almond extracts...)
In a pan, cook the sugar, syrup and water until it makes a soft ball in water. Add flavoring and salt. Stir until cool, then pour over the popcorn and make into balls.
