Formerly inclusion area D—located on 28 acres, directly west of the main entrance to campus on a knoll extending from the Farm and Arboretum to just above the Barn theater and Cook House.
Will consist of 80 housing units
Design was started in January 2003 and has now been approved by the UC Regents
As of September 2004, 50% of the construction documents have been reviewed
Financial documents have also been approved
Anticipated start of construction is between Fall 2004 and Winter 2005

Would house laboratory and classroom space for Chemistry, Environmental Toxicology, and School of Engineering.

The budget for the project is almost $60 million
Claude E. Atkins Enterprises terminated its contract and left the work undone-citing that there were design flaws that make it unbuildable.

Cell phone towers are included in the development section because the new towers are being put up to accommodate a growing student population.

Partnership with NextG Networks to build 6 new microcellular antennas
Antennas are generally placed in an enclosure resembling a smokestack
New antennas will be linked to land lines at the Communications Building via fiber optic lines

Existing towers already installed north of Crown College off of Chinquapin fire road as well as on the antenna of KZSC
New antennas would be installed at: Porter, College 8, Cowell college academic building, Science Hill, and base of campus
