A nice day trip can be had at the Waterfront in Seattle. You can take a 30 minute trip to Bainbridge Island or a ferry to Vashon Island...it is nice to watch the city fade
behind you as in the picture above...
You can take the ferry to Vashon, and take the buses at the ferry stations into town (with your bike if desired - the buses are equiped to handle bikes). The
buses are frequent and regularly scheduled,
or you can take your car on the ferry...once on Vashon, you can take in a movie at the Vashon Theater (above), or just enjoy
the lush green landscape of the island...
